Announcing 1 Million Dollars in Philanthropic Giving

To Our Friends in the ConantLeadership Community,

In service to our mission of championing leadership that works in the 21st century, we are pleased to announce that we have officially surpassed $1,000,000 in philanthropic giving since the inception of our giving program in 2012. We are delighted to celebrate this benchmark with you, the leaders and learners who make up our ever-growing ConantLeadership community; we know that you share our dedication to empowering leaders to serve with greater impact and can look forward with us to many more years of service in the days ahead.

As we happily impart this news, we’re proud to be able to say that we’re in this work for all the right reasons. Our Founder, Doug Conant, receives no salary, donating all of his time and expertise free of charge. And, we’re honored to donate all our income, after covering nominal overhead costs, to worthy non-profits who are on the front-lines of championing the kind of enlightened leadership that can change the world. *

A History of Championing Leadership That Works

When Doug founded ConantLeadership at the end of 2011, newly retired from a ten-year run as CEO of Campbell Soup Company, the future was exciting, but uncertain. The shape of this new organization was not clearly formed. But there was one thing he knew with absolute certainty: that ConantLeadership would be committed to service, anchored in advocacy, and would champion its purpose with an altruistic spirit. As our organization articulated and grew into our mission of championing leadership that works in the 21st century, we devoted the efforts of our small but hearty team to bringing that mission to life through:

  • An engaging suite of leadership resources deployed across our content platform and social media channels
  • The development of our signature leadership development program, the ConantLeadership Boot Camp
  • Leadership speaking offerings that leverage Doug’s 40 years of leadership experience to inspire leaders in organizations of all sizes
  • Active support of non-profit organizations who are leading the most important and urgent efforts to advance society today

While support of non-profit organizations may appear as but one of four pillars of advocacy at ConantLeadership, we are glad to share that, true to Doug’s original vision five years ago, philanthropic giving remains at the heart of all our efforts. Quite simply, it’s the reason we do what we do.

Doug often reminds us that leadership that works starts with the four words, “How can I help?” We can think of no better way to bring that approach to life than by leveraging our work, and our platform, to help organizations who are leading societal change and inspiring the next generation of leaders.

Thanks for being a part of our community, for supporting our efforts, and engaging with our mission. We hope you’ll be along for the ride when we announce our next giving benchmark in the surely bright future.

Yours,
The ConantLeadership Team
