The Power Principle

By Blaine Lee

I had the chance to read this book in galley form back in 2005 and was happy to provide an endorsement. To me, the subtitle to the book gets at the power of the idea . . . trust is “the one thing that changes everything.” As Stephen M. R. Covey eloquently points out, in a high trust relationship anything appears possible. Conversely, in a low trust relationship, even the most mundane tasks can be a challenge. With that perspective, he champions the idea of focusing on creating a high performance/high trust environment. His work is peppered with ideas and examples of ways leaders at all levels of the organization can build trust beginning in the here and now.

I have come to know Stephen M. R. over the years and I have come to believe that he is the most knowledgeable person on “trust building” in the field. His book is a must read in today’s low-trust world.
