Our 2003 report provided a year two update on our performance versus our original Transformation Plan objective. “Building momentum” captured our optimism that our transformation efforts were gaining greater traction with our consumers, our customers, and our employees.
We expressed progress against five core strategies that were modestly changed from our original strategies as our thinking was informed by our learning in the first two years and adjusted to deal with the competitive demands of the day. The cover highlighted a major innovation as we launched an entirely new platform for portability – Campbell’s Mm! Mm! Good to Go – incorporating Campbell’s Soup at Hand and other branded soups, all in microwaveable containers.
We also began to acknowledge our commitment to winning in the workplace by driving employee engagement in a measurable way.
